As much of a trancehead and house music aficionada as I am, sometimes you can’t beat a legendary guitar solo. I probably don’t listen to rock music as much as I love rock because it’s hard to focus while listening to it. It’s too emotional.
What’s your favorite guitar solo?— Brad Frost (@brad_frost) November 13, 2019
🧐…refuse to pick just one. Respecting genres and definitive moments across rock music history, it’s not apples to apples. I can definitely come up with an unordered list though. Pro tip: play the last song on this list as a surefire way to derail my focus on anything. If I hear it I’ll need to take a moment.
- “One” – Metallica
- “Smells Like Teen Spirit” – Nirvana
- “Texas Flood” – Stevie Ray Vaughan
- “Slow Dancing in a Burning Room” – John Mayer
- “Santeria” – Sublime
- “Heartbreaker” – Led Zeppelin
- “Achilles’ Last Stand” – Led Zeppelin
Granted, these are also my favorite rock bands of all time 🙃.
Now…if we talked about favorite guitar riffs of all time…
